Environmental Protection Coating - Water-Based Air-Drying Paint

The water-based air-drying paint independently developed by Jiangmen Paint Co., Ltd. is composed of water-based acrylic emulsion, water-based additives, pigments, water, etc. It is green and environmentally friendly, and especially suitable for the protective coating of metal substrates in industrial facilities, equipment and civil products.

Manual Spraying Construction Method

Thinner/Dilution Ratio: Deionized water or tap water/(5-10)%

Spraying Viscosity: (30-60) seconds (using Ford Cup #4)

Spray Gun Distance: (20-30) cm

Spray Gun Caliber: Air spraying (1.5-3.0) mm

Spraying Pressure: Air pressure (0.5-0.6) MPa, paint supply pressure (1.0-2.5) MPa

Room Temperature Air-Drying (25℃): Surface drying in 1 hour, hard drying in 24 hours, complete drying in 168 hours

Forced Drying: Flash drying at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, then baking at 60℃ for 30 minutes

Recoating Interval: More than 2 hours

 

Construction Precautions

The construction viscosity of the coating should be controlled to prevent sagging and orange peel during construction. 5-10% water can be added for spraying.

Before construction, the moisture, oil, rust, dust and attached dirt on the surface of the object to be coated must be cleaned thoroughly. The steel surface should be treated by sandblasting or mechanical grinding.

After opening the coating can, stir thoroughly. The residual paint at the bottom of the can can be washed with water and added to the paint mixing tank to prevent color difference caused by pigment sedimentation.

 

After the coating is prepared and diluted, it can be filtered through an 80-150 mesh copper sieve before use. After taking the paint for use, cover the can lid in time to prevent surface skinning. If dry skin affects use, it can be filtered through a 100-mesh sieve before use.

 

Coating Tools: During construction, coating tools should be used independently and must not be mixed with tools for other paints. After use, clean them with tap water for repeated use.

Suitable Construction Environment: Temperature ≥10℃, relative humidity ≤80%, avoid dust. When coating at a temperature lower than 10℃ or with an environmental humidity higher than 80%, the drying time of the coating film will be prolonged.

 

The coated film should be protected from rain or water washing within 24 hours after coating.
