Introduction of Automotive Paint

I am writing to introduce automotive paint, a type of coating used to protect the body of cars. Automotive paint is typically applied using a baking process, and its main characteristics include good film fullness, high gloss, high hardness, good adhesion, and excellent mechanical properties. Automotive paint is mainly composed of acrylic resin and polyurethane resin, with common types belonging to the acrylic polyurethane paint category. Additionally, there is a specific type of automotive paint designed for trucks, known as truck paint.

Automotive paint can be classified into ordinary paint, metallic paint, and pearl paint. Ordinary paint is usually solid colors like black, white, and red, with a lower cost but softer finish that is prone to scratches and color fading over time. Metallic paint involves adding metallic particles to the ordinary paint, resulting in a brighter color that reflects light, with enhanced scratch resistance and resistance to color fading, but at a higher price point. Pearl paint includes metallic and mica particles in the ordinary paint, creating a multi-dimensional color effect that changes with different angles, with high hardness and scratch resistance, but it is expensive, challenging to repair, and prone to color mismatches.
